Since 2024, CIPHE has been actively integrating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into its operations, embedding sustainable, inclusive, and ethical practices across all aspects of its research mission.

Responsible Procurement:
CIPHE prioritizes local suppliers to reduce environmental impact and support short supply chains.
Order consolidation minimizes packaging waste, transportation emissions, and resource consumption.
CSR criteria are now incorporated into calls for tenders, favoring environmentally and socially responsible partners.
Enhanced Waste Management:
Specific disposal channels have been established for electronic waste (e-waste), laboratory plastics, chemicals, and infectious waste (DASRI).
Differentiated sorting containers and clear signage guide proper disposal practices.
Teams are encouraged to reduce consumption, use reusable materials, and optimize experimental protocols to minimize waste.
Awareness and Collective Engagement:
Quarterly workshops engage staff on environmental, social, and ethical challenges.
New employees participate in a CSR orientation session upon arrival.
Informational panels in common areas promote daily eco-friendly behaviors.
An internal environmental charter is being drafted to formalize individual commitments.
Sustainable Mobility and Team Cohesion:
CIPHE encourages soft mobility options: cycling, public transport, and carpooling.
Participation in challenges like #MaiAVélo highlights active engagement.
Regular team-building events reinforce collaboration, collective spirit, and well-being.
Carbon Footprint Assessment:
CIPHE completed its Greenhouse Gas Emissions Assessment (GHG) in 2024, evaluating direct (heating, service vehicles) and indirect (purchases, travel, waste) emissions.
Results will inform a targeted reduction plan, aiming for medium-term carbon neutrality.
Energy Efficiency Mission:
Selected for the National Energy Efficiency Task Force (AGILE), CIPHE is implementing a plan to reduce energy consumption by 10–30% across its facilities.
Through these initiatives, CSR becomes a core pillar of CIPHE’s strategy, ensuring research excellence while respecting resources, the environment, and future generations.
