Founding Members
Inserm – French National Institute of Health and Medical Research
Inserm is the only public research institution in France exclusively dedicated to human health. Under the dual supervision of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Research, Inserm convenes over 15,000 researchers, engineers, technicians and administrative staff. Its mission is to improve human health by advancing knowledge of living organisms and diseases, developing innovative treatments, and conducting public health research.
CNRS – National Centre for Scientific Research
The CNRS is a major player in basic research globally, uniquely covering all scientific disciplines. It aims to research in the interest of science and societal progress, alone or with partners, addressing technological, cultural, environmental, and social challenges. It promotes innovation, knowledge sharing, open science, and serves public policy, operating through over 1,100 laboratories in France and abroad.
Aix-Marseille Université (AMU)
Aix-Marseille Université is a multidisciplinary, research-intensive public university in Southern France. It gathers tens of thousands of students (including international students), academics and research structures, organized around many fields of study and leveraging joint research with major institutions (Inserm, CNRS, etc.). AMU emphasizes interdisciplinarity, international partnerships, strong links between research and education, and contributing to regional and global challenges.

Executive Management (Executive Committee, CODIR)
The Executive Management is led by CIPHE’s Director (Ana Zarubica), supported by the CODIR (Frédéric Fiore, Hervé Luche, Amandine Sansoni), and brings together senior scientific and operational leaders responsible for both strategic vision and daily management.
Strategic Steering & Scientific & Technological Oversight Committee
Chaired by the Director, includes leads of major scientific programs. This committee proactively fosters synergies within CIPHE, supports emerging initiatives, and guides long-term scientific and technological strategy.
Cross-Platform Action Groups (Task Forces)
These groups rely on functional committees such as Quality Management; Health & Safety; SBEA-3R; Communication & Training; CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and User Committees. They implement the roadmap defined by the Executive Management and the Strategic Steering Committee.
Laboratory Council & Advisory Interfaces
The Laboratory Council represents researchers and staff in internal governance. CIPHE also engages with external bodies such as the National Phenomin infrastructure, the Celphedia GIS, Infrafrontier ERIC, supervisory authorities, user communities, and benefits from an International Scientific Advisory Board (SAB Phenomin) to refine its strategic vision and scientific priorities.
